From a brand-new Riviera Maya debut to overwater villas in the Grenadines, these adults-only resorts are made for a grown-up getaway this winter.
Winter is prime time for a warm-weather, adults-only reset, and this season’s list ranges from a resort that opened its doors only a few months ago to a Caribbean icon that’s been drawing couples for decades. Each one is worth building a trip around on its own.
Devossion by Live Aqua, Playa del Carmen
The newest name on this list, Devossion opened in central Playa del Carmen in December 2025, just steps from Fifth Avenue. The all-inclusive, adults-only property centres on a semi-Olympic pool and a Cenote branded spa concept, with a trio of dining venues spanning Nami, a Japanese restaurant, Liberi, an all-day open-kitchen concept, and Carnivore, a grill-driven restaurant. A full calendar of themed evening events and champagne-focused gatherings keeps the social side of the resort just as active as the pool deck, for guests who want more programming than a standard beach chair stay.
Excellence Playa Mujeres, Cancun
A longer-standing favourite just north of Cancun, this adults-only all-inclusive is built for a slower pace, with suites ranging from roughly 800 to over 2,500 square feet. The restaurant lineup is unusually deep for an all-inclusive, running through Oregano for Italian, Agave for Mexican, Spice for Asian, Chez Isabelle for French, Basmati for Indian, and both the Lobster House and the Grill for seafood and steak. Miilé Spa handles hydrotherapy and treatments, while a resort-wide lazy river and heated Excellence Club pools give guests plenty of ways to spend a day that never has to leave the property.
Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
For couples chasing something more distinctive than a beachfront room, this resort’s Vincy Overwater Two-Story Villas float above a private cove in Buccament Bay, each one roughly 1,248 square feet with its own overwater daybed and rooftop deck. The property also debuted in-suite fitness rooms, a first for the Sandals brand, alongside twelve specialty restaurants, nine bars, four pools and a dedicated scuba pool for certified diving. Red Lane Spa covers Caribbean-inspired treatments, and an overwater chapel with a glass aisle is available for couples marking the occasion properly. It’s an all-inclusive, adults-only stay built entirely around two people and very little else to think about.
Royal Hideaway Corales Beach, Tenerife
Proof that winter sun doesn’t require a transatlantic haul from Europe, this 121-suite, adults-only property on Tenerife’s Costa Adeje is built around Gastrocorales, a dining complex anchored by El Rincón de Juan Carlos, chef Juan Carlos Padrón’s two-Michelin-starred tasting menu restaurant, alongside Italian, Canary Islands and Atlantic-inspired concepts under the same roof. The architecture, designed by Leonardo Omar to evoke a ship, gives way to interiors inspired by coral reefs, with three heated saltwater pools and more than 10,000 square metres of gardens surrounding the Corales Wellness Spa.
An adults-only icon for a reason, Jade Mountain’s 24 infinity pool sanctuaries are split across four categories, from Galaxy suites at roughly 2,000 square feet down to the smaller Star category, each one built with 15-foot ceilings, a fourth wall left deliberately open to the view, and its own infinity pool sized to the room category. (A separate handful of Sky suites trade the private pool for a two-person whirlpool tub, while keeping the same open-air, fourth-wall-free design.) All of it looks out over the Pitons, the twin volcanic peaks that make up a UNESCO World Heritage Site just offshore. It’s less a hotel than a honeymoon-shaped fantasy, and one of the more photographed adults-only stays in the Caribbean for good reason.
Each of these books out quickly once winter travel planning ramps up, so it’s worth locking in dates sooner rather than later, particularly for the newer additions to the adults-only category.
